I John 2:1 NKJVAdvocate (Parakletos/Greek): He who consoles, encourages, revives, defends, intercedes on our behalf.
LORD grants favors to good and bad people, but justification, sanctification, defense, continuous intercession and Eternal Life He grants only to His children, to those who believe in CHRIST and receive Him as LORD and Savior.
LORD JESUS advocates for us in terms of justice, righteousness and mercy. This defense is not based on our own justice and merit (because we do not have it), but on the basis of His justice, His own merits, His complete obedience to the Law and suffering from His total punishment in our place. In view of this, He claims our absolution.
Therefore, our soul can rest, when we confess our sins to GOD and receive forgiveness, because we have our Parakleto to the right of GOD (JESUS) and the other Parakleto (HOLY SPIRIT) mixed with our spirit, which guides us through the challenges that we face.
Thus, the devil's accusations against those who believe in CHRIST and practice His Word are baseless and defeated.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

It's important to mention that it is about 3 People forming a One GOD Creator of everything: FATHER, Son JESUS (Word of GOD) & HOLY SPIRIT, just as we are triune in 1 single person: we are a spirit, who lives in a body and has a soul (field of thoughts, feelings and willings).
